Job Summary
We are seeking entry-level and experienced Cabinet Makers to join our team. This role involves the fabrication, assembly, and installation of custom cabinets and fixtures, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. The ideal experienced candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and carpentry, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for cabinet designs.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble wood materials.
- Construct cabinets, shelving units, and other wooden fixtures according to specifications.
- Perform cabinet installation on-site, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Assist in estimating project costs and timelines based on construction plans.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry or woodworking, with a focus on cabinet making (for experienced applicants).
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Strong understanding of construction processes including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and cabinet installation.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience with construction site work is preferred; familiarity with restoration industry practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of additional skills such as plumbing, electrical work, masonry, or flooring installation is advantageous.
- Capability of heavy lifting as required for material handling and installation tasks.
