About Us: WUCNetwork is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization created to provide programs and services that support underserved women, their children, and the elderly. This Domestic Violence program is a prevention and education program for women that equips them with life skills, financial literacy, workforce development, and coping tools while raising awareness about domestic violence and providing community support for personal transformation.
Position: Program Director
Location: Birmingham, AL
Position Overview: The Program Director will serve as the lead for the Domestic Violence Program, providing strategic oversight, program implementation leadership, and accountability for outcomes. This role is responsible for ensuring the program operates with excellence, aligns with grant requirements, and delivers measurable impact in the community. The Program Director will oversee curriculum delivery, reporting, and program evaluation while guiding program staff and maintaining strong partnerships with community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership & Oversight
- Lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of the program
- Oversee program implementation to ensure alignment with grant objectives and timelines
- Supervise and support the Program Assistant
Curriculum Management
- Lead curriculum delivery and facilitation of workshops
- Review and update curriculum to align with current needs and grant requirements
- Ensure consistency and quality across all program sessions
Data, Reporting & Compliance
- Manage program data systems and reporting processes
- Track outcomes, participation, and impact metrics
- Prepare reports for funders and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all grant requirements
Community Partnerships & Strategy
- Develop and maintain partnerships with community agencies and stakeholders
- Represent WUCNetwork in community and partner spaces
- Support expansion and visibility of the SAFEGuard program
Program Evaluation & Improvement
- Analyze program performance and recommend improvements
- Ensure participant feedback is incorporated into program delivery
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in program management, implementation, or leadership
- Experience working with data systems, reporting, and grant compliance
- Ability to design, facilitate, and evaluate workshops
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience in community-based programs preferred
- Social work, nonprofit, or related background preferred
- Experience with domestic violence programming is a plus
Compensation:
Position pays $32 per hour. Paid monthly. The program will run from July to December 31, 2026.
Job type:
Part-time; On-site; 3 days per week; Days & hours to be determined.
