Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with patient intake processes.
- Measure vital signs accurately and document findings in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and assisting providers during clinical assessments.
- Prepare for basic medical procedures establishing sterile fields, positioning patients and supporting the provider throughout.
- Manage medical supplies inventory, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean clinical environment.
- Assist with administrative duties including appointment scheduling, patient correspondence, and insurance documentation.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of gynecology, patient care, and aseptic technique practices.
- Proficiency with EHR systems and medical terminology to ensure precise documentation. Thorough knowledge of eClinicalWorks is a plus.
- Ability to perform intake assessments, record vital signs, and understand ICD coding for billing purposes.
- Familiarity with emergency medicine procedures including basic life support (BLS).
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to inpatient and outpatient care environments.
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations across the spectrum.
