What are the responsibilities and job description for the OBGYN Sonographer - PRN position at Women's Care?

The Sonographer performs ultrasound examinations and records the findings. This includes routine ultrasound exams, as well as specialized procedures as directed. This is a PRN position within our float pool and will require travel to clinics within the local region on an as-needed basis.
- Performs nuchal translucency scans per established standards and guidelines.
- Completes fetal surveys.
- Performs hysterosonograms, as well as 3D-4D scans.
- Evaluates the images for their quality, but also interprets what was captured in the image.
- Documents/updates information in patient’s electronic medical record.
- Represents clinic in a professional manner. Treats all customers, internal and external, in a courteous and cooperative manner.
- Attends required meetings and participates in team activities and professional development activities.
- Demonstrates and embodies the Women’s Care mission and core values.
- Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid OB/GYN ARDMS certification.
- Minimum 2 years of recent OBGYN experience required.
- Experience with 3D-4D scans.
- Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to communicate with coworkers, providers and patients in a courteous and effective manner.
- Ability to use a computer and enter data in electronic medical record system, eCW a plus.
- Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
- Must be willing and able to travel to various clinics within the local region.
- A minimum of 2 shifts per month is required.
