What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Development Director position at Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program?
Women of Tomorrow® Mentor & Scholarship Program, Inc. (WOT) is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Event Development Director to add to our Events team. Must be adept at securing corporate sponsors and marketing dollars, have strong organizational, administrative & people skills as well as technological fluency. Five (5) years plus development experience is required.
Responsibilities include:
- Secure sponsors and patrons for all fundraising events, including an annual gala, two luncheons and other events.
- Oversee and manage all details of fundraising events, locally and at other locations.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and potential donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Maintain and update donor records in the CRM, ensuring accurate tracking of donations and engagement activities.
- Analyze donor data to inform fundraising strategies and improve donor retention.
- Prepare regular reports on fundraising progress, trends, and outcomes for leadership and board meetings.
- Oversee operations and logistics for fundraising events.
- Develop and maintain budgets, traffic invoices for approval and payment.
- Communicate and coordinate with volunteer committee members and all stakeholders.
- Prepare and manage the event development budget; track and report on fundraising progress and outcomes.
- Attend networking events.
Requirements:
- 5 years' experience
- Excellent interpersonal, networking and communication (written & verbal) skills a must
- Highly organized with attention to detail along with project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- CRM experience (Virtuous) a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
