Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring all projects meet safety standards and quality expectations. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of diverse fabrication projects, from structural steel to ductwork and custom assemblies. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and
welding with accuracy on various metals including sheet metal and pipe components - Fabricate parts using hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and machining equipment
- Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to ensure proper fit and alignment
- Assemble fabricated components according to specifications, including rigging, pipe threading, and mechanical fitting
- Conduct quality inspections utilizing basic math skills and schematics to verify dimensions and weld integrity
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to construction site activities, crane operation, forklift handling, and rigging procedures
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety standards and protocols
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, plasma cutting, soldering, and
welding techniques - Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, ductwork assembly, pipe threading, and mechanical assembly
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and schematics for precise measurements
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to fabrication and welding processes
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes including machining and press brake operations
- Ability to work effectively on construction sites or manufacturing facilities with physical stamina for standing long hours
- Valid certifications in welding (such as AWS or equivalent) preferred; experience with crane operation or forklift certification is a plus
