Welder/Fabricator

JIC is looking for a fabricator/welder to join our fabrication team at our Concord, MI shop. At JIC, we prioritize a company culture where everyone is respected, appreciated, and encouraged to bring their all every day.

Requirements:

· 2 years welding experience

· Valid drivers license and dependable transportation

Duties include:

· Reading blueprints

· Weld in flat and vertical positions

· Operating fabricating equipment (grinder, welder, brake, shear as needed)

· Build jigs as needed

· Build and assemble parts

· Ability to read tape measure

· Maintain safe work practices

· Driving Fork truck & various material handling equipment

· Plasma/ machine operating experience a plus

What you will need to be successful:

· Communication Skills

· Ability to collaborate

· Ability to lift heavy material

· Stand for long periods of times

· Must be able to work overtime as needed

· Wear safety glasses at all times while in shop or as required for certain tasks

· Dependability and punctuality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Determined by skill level and experience
