Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood framing, cabinetry, doors, siding, trim, and other wood construction materials
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for woodworking, framing, roofing, and finishing tasks
- Install fixtures such as cabinets, doors, moldings, and hardware with precision and care
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for construction site activities while maintaining safety protocols
- Most work to be done is deck framing/decking installation, additions, new builds, window installation.
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of residential carpentry practices
- Ability to read blueprints and construction plans accurately
- Skilled in using hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels and measuring devices; proficient with power tools including drills, saws, sanders for woodworking and framing
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to power tool operation and construction site hazards
- Capable of performing physical tasks involving heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined space
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and collaborate effectively on team projects
