Position Summary:
The Security Agent is responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for all clients, employees, and visitors by actively patrolling and monitoring assigned premises. This role requires a proactive approach to risk management, involves the prevention of unauthorized activities, including theft, violence, and policy violations, while safeguarding property and individuals within the designated area of responsibility.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of client properties to deter and detect signs of unauthorized access, ensuring the integrity of doors, windows, gates, and other access points and identifying suspicious behavior or potential threats.
- Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances or suspicious activity.
- Monitor and control access to facilities by verifying the identity and authorization of employees, visitors, and contractors to prevent theft and maintain site security.
- Document daily activities and incidents, including property damage, security breaches, unauthorized access, and other irregularities, through detailed and accurate reporting.
- Initiate contact with emergency services, such as police or fire departments, in response to critical incidents or safety threats.
- Maintain a visible presence among staff, visitors, and patrons to promote order and protect property.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and protocols.
- Operate security screening equipment to detect and prevent the entry of prohibited items into the facility.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of law enforcement, military, or executive protection, or minimum 6 years of security or a related field is preferred.
- Candidate must be certified or able to become certified, willing, and able to carry a firearm for various assignments that may require it.
- Demonstrated ability to observe, assess, and report incidents accurately and thoroughly.
- Proven capacity to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure or potentially volatile situations.
- Foundational understanding of standard security protocols, procedures, and emergency response practices.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications in security or law enforcement are a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
