Position Overview

Monticola Security is seeking highly trained and professional Armed Security Officers to protect our clients, personnel, assets, and property. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional judgment, maintains a calm demeanor under pressure, and upholds the highest standards of integrity, safety, and customer service. Officers will be responsible for threat detection, access control, incident response, and maintaining a secure environment across various client sites.

Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity & Protection

• Provide a strong, visible security presence to deter criminal activity and unauthorized behavior.
• Conduct armed patrols—foot or vehicle—according to post orders and operational requirements.
• Respond immediately to security breaches, alarms, disturbances, and emergencies.
• Identify, assess, and report suspicious activities or potential threats.
• Safeguard personnel, visitors, and property through proactive surveillance and protective measures.

Access Control & Monitoring

• Manage entry and exit points for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for restricted areas.
• Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and other electronic security equipment.

Incident Management

• De-escalate conflicts professionally and legally.
• Detain or restrain individuals as allowed by law and company policy.
• Prepare accurate, timely incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services, and client representatives as required.

Professional Conduct

• Represent Monticola Security with professionalism, courtesy, and situational awareness.
• Follow all company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and legal regulations.
• Maintain firearms proficiency, tactical readiness, and required training certifications.
• Uphold confidentiality and protect sensitive information.

QualificationsRequired

• Minimum age: 21
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior Militarty or Law enforcement
• Valid state Armed Guard License / Firearm Permit (or ability to obtain prior to assignment)
• Proven experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military (preferred)
• Clean background check and drug screening
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods
• Professional demeanor and ability to remain calm during high-stress situations

Preferred

• First Aid/CPR/AED certification
• De-escalation and use-of-force training
• Defensive driving certification
• Experience working in corporate, industrial, or high-risk security environments

Working Conditions

• Variable schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Indoor and outdoor environments; possible exposure to various weather conditions
• Regular interaction with employees, visitors, and law enforcement
• May require wearing a ballistic vest and duty gear

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
