MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
Embark on an exciting journey as a Manufacturing Engineer at the renowned Marmon Fastener Company in Ashland, OH. In this new role, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the production of high-quality fasteners. As a key member of our dynamic team, you'll leverage your technical expertise in engineering, metal fabrication, and manufacturing processes to drive continuous improvement and ensure efficient, safe, and top-notch operations. - Optimize manufacturing processes for cold forming, hot forging, machining, threading, plating, and heat treatment- Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance product quality and compliance- Spearhead the introduction of new fastener products and processes
Preferred Requirements:
- Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement, including lean initiatives and automation solutions
- Design and implement jigs, fixtures, tooling, and specialized machinery to support fastener production
- Work closely with Quality Control to ensure manufacturing processes meet product specifications and compliance standards
- Collect and analyze data on process performance, downtime, scrap, and other key metrics to support decision-making
- Partner with various teams to provide technical support and drive continuous improvement across the plant
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cold forming/cold heading experience required
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Project management and process improvement expertise
- Knowledge of machine integration
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Regular presence on the production floor; ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility
- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
- Compliance with PPE and all safety requirements
