About Wolf Creek Nursery & Landscaping
Wolf Creek Nursery & Landscaping is a locally owned nursery and landscaping company serving Columbus and the surrounding area. Our maintenance crews help keep residential and commercial properties looking their best throughout the growing season.
We're looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Maintenance Crew. Previous landscaping experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
Position Overview
As a Landscape Laborer on our Maintenance Crew, you'll work as part of a team responsible for the routine care and appearance of residential and commercial landscapes.
You'll spend your days outdoors performing a variety of landscaping tasks, including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, weeding, blowing, and seasonal property cleanups.
This is an active, hands-on position that is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in making a property look its best.
Responsibilities
- Mow residential and commercial properties
- String trim around buildings, beds, trees, fences, and other areas
- Edge sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and landscape beds
- Blow grass clippings and debris from hard surfaces
- Weed and maintain landscape beds
- Prune and trim shrubs and other landscape plants
- Perform seasonal landscape cleanups
- Remove leaves, branches, and other landscape debris
- Assist with mulch, soil, and other landscape applications
- Assist with planting and seasonal color installation as needed
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance at customer properties
- Load and unload landscaping equipment and materials
- Safely operate lawn and landscape equipment after proper training
- Perform routine care and basic maintenance of company equipment
- Follow property-specific maintenance instructions and company standards
- Communicate professionally with customers when working on their properties
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and jobsite
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation to and from work/job locations
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods
- Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment after training
- Dependable and punctual
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred, but not required:
- Previous landscaping or lawn-care experience
- Experience operating commercial mowers, string trimmers, edgers, blowers, or other landscape equipment
- Plant identification or horticultural knowledge
- Experience with shrub pruning and landscape bed maintenance
- Experience working on residential or commercial properties
No previous landscaping experience is required. We are willing to train motivated individuals who have a strong work ethic and want to develop their landscaping skills.
Physical & Work Environment
This position requires frequent outdoor work and physical activity, including:
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Bending, kneeling, lifting, and working on uneven terrain
- Repetitive use of hand tools and power equipment
- Lifting and carrying landscaping equipment and materials
- Working in heat, cold, humidity, and other outdoor conditions
- Working around lawn equipment, vehicles, and active jobsites
- Exposure to grass, plants, dirt, dust, and other outdoor conditions

Schedule
Both full-time and part-time positions are available.
This is primarily a seasonal position, with the possibility of continued or off-season employment based on company needs, performance, and workload.
Because landscaping is weather-dependent, schedules may occasionally change due to weather conditions.
