About Wolf Creek Nursery & Landscaping
Wolf Creek Nursery & Landscaping is a locally owned nursery and landscaping company serving Columbus and the surrounding area. We handle everything from landscape installations and planting to ongoing property maintenance, and we're growing our team.
We're looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Install Crew. Previous landscaping experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
Position Overview
As a Landscape Laborer on our Install Crew, you'll work alongside our landscaping team to complete residential and commercial landscape projects from start to finish.
This is a hands-on outdoor position that involves physical labor, working with plants and landscape materials, and helping transform properties through professional landscape installation.
Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape installations at residential and commercial properties
- Plant trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, and other landscape materials
- Prepare planting beds and areas for installation
- Spread and install mulch, soil, stone, and other landscape materials
- Assist with grading, drainage, and general site preparation
- Assist with hardscape installation and other landscape construction projects
- Load, unload, and transport plants, materials, tools, and equipment
- Operate hand tools and basic landscaping equipment
- Assist experienced crew members with equipment and machinery as trained
- Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
- Properly care for plants and landscape materials during installation
- Follow project plans, instructions, and company standards
- Perform general cleanup at the completion of projects
- Safely use and maintain company tools and equipment
- Represent Wolf Creek professionally when working at customer properties
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation to and from work/job locations
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry landscape materials and equipment
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred, but not required:
- Previous landscaping, nursery, construction, or outdoor labor experience
- Experience operating landscaping equipment
- Plant identification or horticultural knowledge
- Experience with planting, mulching, grading, or hardscape installation
No previous landscaping experience is required. We are willing to train motivated individuals who have a strong work ethic and want to learn the trade.
Physical & Work Environment
This position requires frequent outdoor work and physical activity, including:
- Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working on uneven terrain
- Lifting and carrying plants, soil, mulch, stone, and equipment
- Repetitive use of hand tools
- Working in heat, cold, humidity, and other outdoor conditions
- Working around landscaping equipment, vehicles, and active jobsites

Schedule
Both full-time and part-time positions are available.
This is primarily a seasonal position, with the possibility of continued or off-season employment based on company needs, performance, and workload.
Because landscaping is weather-dependent, schedules may occasionally change due to weather conditions.
