Medical Assistant

WNY Urology Associates is looking for a compassionate, organized, and dependable Medical Assistant to join our Orchard Park location. The successful candidate must acquire a kind approach, excellent patient care, exemplary verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to support the providers and co-workers within all departments of the practice.

Responsibilities Include:

• Checking vitals and reconciling medications within the EMR system.
• Entering and updating medical history within the EMR system.
• Assisting physicians with procedures as needed, under direct supervision.
• Setting up procedures for both physicians and nursing staff.
• Ability to communicate relevant information regarding patients and situations in order to provide individualized care.
• Stock and clean exam and procedure rooms daily or as needed.
• Demonstrate professionalism and appropriate conduct at all times.
• Maintain the office Code of Conduct and HIPAA policies.
• Maintain OSHA Standards, Infection Control, and Regulated Medical Waste policies.

Requirements Include:

• Knowledge of medical office management systems, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to take constructive feedback from supervisor.
• Proficiency in EMR systems (Medent preferred but not required)
