I. Job Summary
Manages a team of employees that is responsible for delivering billing to our customers. Ensures these Billing activities are delivered to the department standard.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Manages the planning and direction of Billing activities.
- Prepares and maintains records and billing data to report on monthly trends and improvement areas for the department.
- Monitors Billing work processes, procedures and expenses, and establishes programs which drive team performance toward departmental and organizational goals.
- Provides guidance and leadership to Billing Supervisors
- Collaboration between team members, other departments and our customers to solve unique billing challenges and escalated issues
- Oversees personnel needs of the department including selecting, coaching, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
- Direct supervision of 2 full-time employees, including:
- Indirect supervision of 9 full-time employees.

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelors degree (accredited) in Accounting, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.
- Experience: Seven years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement).
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
- None required.
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills; must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to prioritize based on department and company standards
- Detail orientated and excellent problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; intermediate level (pivot tables, v-lookups & use of macros are standard practice)
- Excellent customer service skills are required
- Knowledge of Waste Management services, policies, and system interfaces a plus

The expected base pay range for this hybrid position is $93,000-$120,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
