Martial Arts Instructor - Youth & Family Programs

Position Overview

We are looking for a Martial Arts Instructor who can assist in teaching classes, leading warm-ups, running drills, managing groups of students, and maintaining a high-energy, positive training environment.
Taekwondo experience is not required but recommended — we will train the right person.
Must absolutely enjoy working with kids and families.

This role starts part-time with the opportunity to grow into full-time as our school expands.

Responsibilities

Instruction & Class Support

• Assist in teaching Taekwondo classes for ages 3–6, 6–12, and teens
• Lead warm-ups, drills, pad work, line drills, and games
• Help maintain class structure, discipline, and flow
• Demonstrate techniques accurately and safely
• Provide positive correction and encouragement to students

Student & Parent Engagement

• Greet families professionally
• Help students line up, tie belts, and follow class expectations
• Represent the school with positivity, confidence, and excellent communication

School Operations

• Keep the facility clean and organized
• Assist with events (belt promotions, PNO, birthday parties, etc.)

Requirements

Mandatory

• Must enjoy working with children and have experience working with youths
• Strong communication & leadership skills
• Must have black belt or higher in Taekwondo or Karate
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• High energy and a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn our teaching system & curriculum
• Professional appearance & demeanor

Preferred but NOT required

• CPR certified
• Background in fitness, athletics, education, or coaching

Schedule

We are primarily looking for availability:

• Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday 3:00 AM – 5:00 PM

(You do NOT need to be available for every day — we will build the schedule around the right person.)

Compensation

• $20–$30 per hour, depending on experience
• Paid training
