Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in person, by phone, and through online leads
- Ask effective questions to understand each customer’s needs, timeline, budget, and intended use
- Present building options, features, upgrades, and financing/purchase options clearly
- Prepare accurate quotes and guide customers through the purchase process
- Follow up with leads and unsold customers in a timely and professional manner
- Build long-term customer relationships through honest, helpful service
- Maintain knowledge of products, pricing, options, promotions, and sales processes
- Represent Martens Portable Buildings with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first attitude
- Previous sales experience is required
- Experience in sheds, buildings, construction, home improvement, automotive, RV, furniture, or another big-ticket sales environment is preferred
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to ask good questions and guide customers toward the right buying decision
- Comfortable discussing price, value, financing, and customer objections
- Self-motivated and able to follow up consistently
- Organized, dependable, and professional
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn quoting and sales software
- A strong commitment to customer satisfaction
