This role is for an experienced Attorney who is ready to take ownership of their work, manage a caseload independently, and become a trusted resource for both clients and our team. We are searching for someone that is confident in their ability to practice law, communicate with clients, make sound decisions, and move matters forward.

Compensation

$110,000 - $120,000

Responsibilities

Your Impact.

From your first day, you'll have the opportunity to work directly with clients, attend hearings, participate in case strategy, and take ownership of matters that make a real difference in people's lives.

As an Attorney, you will play a key role in leading the client experience throughout the probate process, including Guardianship and Conservatorship matters. You will manage your caseload with a high level of independence, provide trusted legal guidance, and work closely with our Probate Team to ensure each client receives knowledgeable, compassionate, and timely support.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the client Probate and Guardianship Experience
  • Help hold the team accountable by overseeing all cases and ensuring all deadlines are met in a timely manner.
  • Meet with clients and conduct client consultations, case reviews, and strategy meetings to understand client goals and develop an appropriate legal strategy.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients and the Probate Team on legal questions and issues requiring attorney-level guidance.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and their families through clear communication, empathy, responsiveness, and consistent follow-through.
  • Prepare, review, and file probate pleadings, petitions, motions, and other legal documents as needed.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and litigation when necessary. Also proactively monitor cases and take action to keep matters progressing and deadlines on track.
  • Assisting with accounts receivable collections and client account management as needed.
  • Managing caseload with minimal oversight and working directly with legal team members to ensure clients’ goals are met within the expected timeframe.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an attorney who is confident in their ability to practice law, takes ownership of their work, and genuinely cares about the people they serve. The right candidate will be comfortable managing a caseload independently while also knowing when to collaborate, ask questions, and lean on the team.

  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia.
  • Previous probate experience is preferred, but not required. Litigation experience in other practice areas will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and keep matters moving forward.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect with clients and families during emotionally challenging circumstances.
  • Excellent judgment, emotional intelligence, and professionalism when working with clients, families, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to navigate difficult conversations, reconcile differences, and work toward mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Ability to provide clear, confident legal guidance and explain complex legal concepts in a way clients can understand.
  • Strong legal research, writing, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
  • A growth mindset and genuine willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve.
  • A commitment to doing the right thing for clients, the team, and the firm—even when it's difficult.
