Job Description

The Wiz Kids Foundation is seeking enthusiastic and positive Summer Camp Junior Associates who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and leading children through a variety of outdoor and indoor summertime activities.

• The Soccer Junior Associate is responsible for helping to teach fundamental skills as well as more advanced strategy.
• While assisting the Soccer Head Coach, Junior Associates chaperone, supervise and guide campers, grades 1st-8th, through the day‐to-day activities of the overall camp experience including field trips.
• Develop and lead daily sport-specific drill and game components.
• Ensure the welfare of campers and positive resolution of camper related issues by communicating clearly and consistently with camp leadership staff.
• Willingness to comply with Suspected Child Abuse Reporting (Subsection (a)(6) of 325 ILCS 5-4).
• Additional duties as contracted.

Qualifications

• Prior Soccer playing or related experience at the high school and/or college level.
• Prior experience working in a camp environment is a plus.
• Must be high school grad, current undergraduate student or post grad student

Compensation

• Homewood Flossmoor High School: Hourly pay is $15.00
• Whitney Young High School: Hourly pay is is $17.00
• Westmont High School: Hourly pay is $16.00

Schedule

• Homewood-Flossmoor High School: Monday-Friday from 8:30-4:30pm
• Whitney Young High School: Monday-Friday from 8:30-4:15pm
• Westmont High School: Monday-Thursday from 10-4:15pm and Fridays from 8:30-4:15pm

Pay: $17.00 - $17.01 per hour
