Job Description
The Wiz Kids Foundation is seeking enthusiastic and positive Summer Camp Junior Associates who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and leading children through a variety of outdoor and indoor summertime activities.
Position Responsibilities
- The Cheer Associate is responsible for helping to teach fundamental skills as well as more advanced strategy.
- While assisting the Cheer Director, Junior Associates chaperone, supervise and guide campers through the day‐to-day activities of the overall camp experience including field trips.
- Develop and lead daily sport-specific drill and game components.
- Ensure the welfare of campers and positive resolution of camper related issues by communicating clearly and consistently with camp leadership staff.
- Willingness to comply with Suspected Child Abuse Reporting (Subsection (a)(6) of 325 ILCS 5-4).
- Additional duties as contracted.
Work Environment
Cheer activities will take place daily at one of our gym locations.
Qualifications
- Prior cheerleading experience at the high school and/or college level.
- Prior experience working in a camp environment is a plus.
- Must be High school grad, current undergrad student or post grad student
Compensation
- Hourly pay is $15.00
Location
- Homewood Flossmoor High School
Schedule
- Monday-Thursday from 12-4:30pm
