Witzenmann is seeking a Senior Account Manager to lead commercial activities for key mobility OEMs and Tiers. This role drives new business growth, manages account profitability, and supports product launches across ICE, hybrid, and new energy platforms.
Our product applications include metal tube assemblies, hoses and flexible elements for engine fluid and exhaust gas transfer, as well as vibration and thermal management. Our Mobility customers include leading automotive, commercial vehicles (class 6-8) and engine manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial leadership of assigned accounts in the region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders in the customer organization.
- Lead all commercial aspects of the account, including new business acquisition, contract management, change management, sales planning, account profitability etc.
- Analyze market trends and translate customer needs into actionable plans.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering to facilitate technical sales, new product introduction and benchmarking.
- Support project management, product launches, design reviews, PSO, build events and APQP deliverables.
- Represent Witzenmann at industry events and trade shows.
- Other tasks as assigned.
This role requires excellent written and verbal communication, strategic thinking, and cross-functional leadership in a dynamic automotive environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing accounts of leading automotive OEMs or Tiers supporting highly engineered products.
- Proven ability to drive planning, new business development, contract management, negotiations and manage account profitability.
- Commercial skills including financial modelling.
- Adaptive learner with a passion for emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with part fabrication, assembly processes & APQP.
- Proficient in MS Office, CRM, ERP/SAP & navigating customer portals.
- Strong interpersonal-skills and ability to work independently with minimal direction with global teams.
- Self-motivated with ability to motivate and lead others in a cross-functional cross-geography setting.
- Ability to respond effectively in high-pressure or crisis situations.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Comfortable with occasional physical activity (lifting up to 20 lbs)
- Full time, on-site role based in Troy Michigan.
Desired Characteristics and Skills:
- Master’s degree in business or engineering.
- Lead strategy for the assigned accounts, quote process and product application.
- Prior experience with metal pipes for engine application, exhaust system components and battery thermal management.
- Relevant networks with the engine, propulsion, or chassis groups at “Big Three” or Japanese OEM’s in the industry.
- Experience with manufacturing methods for forming, joining and assembly of precision sheet metal.
