Outside Sales Runner/ Utility Associate

Position Summary

The Outside Sales Runner's primary role is to assist the sales force with pick-ups and deliveries to various Outside Sales Personal, customers, and vendors. Utility Associate will assist in different work rolls as needed. This can include but not limited to Receive new product into inventory, Pick, Pack, and Ship Product and Inventory. Putting away Inventory in proper warehouse locations. Hydro test & fill all types of air cylinders, Test and Roll Fire Hose, Assist in the prepping of new SCBA orders.

This position will operate out of our Abbottstown, Pennsylvania site. The work schedule is 8am-5pm Monday through Friday with a one-hour unpaid lunch each day. Overtime is available as business needs require.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Meet daily with sales support department for schedule of pick-ups & deliveries.
• Maintain customer centric focus on quality and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean driving record and always keep safety at forefront.
• Help support warehouse as needed.
• Present a positive and professional image through proper grooming and attire.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships within the department and with other departments within the company.
• Operate in-house Forklift for loading and unloading freight vehicles. (Will train and certify on site)
• Warehouse Inventory put away, picking, and packing of product.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Previous customer service or sales support experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a professional work environment necessary.
• Previous experience in inventory control preferred.
• Knowledge in public safety fields is a plus.
• Ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
• Excellent computer, phone, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to read & write well in English
• Must be able to lift 80 lbs & occasionally 100lbs with the use of a hand dolly.
• Ability to maintain clean, concise records/paperwork.
• Good organizational skills.
• Familiarity with the use of GPS System. Ability to read and understand directions to find locations which are unfamiliar.
• Ability to perform daily vehicle maintenance inspections. As well as keeping a vehicle in a clean professional appearance.
• Ability to receive, put away, and label inventory.
• Ability to read sales orders and pull products from inventory for sales orders
• Ability to learn and function with the shipping system to properly ship products.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. If needed hearing protection will be provided.
