Position Details:
Schedule: Full-Time, Seasonal (Spring–Fall)
Shifts: Early mornings required; shifts vary and may include days, weekends, and holidays
Location: Bar Harbor Inn and Spa – Reading Room Restaurant

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive breakfast service
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver in a timely manner
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and dietary accommodations
- Ensure tables are clean, set, and ready for guests at all times
- Monitor guest needs and respond promptly to requests
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service flow
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the dining area
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Skills & Requirements:
- Previous serving or customer service experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work early mornings with a positive and energetic attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Friendly, dependable, and guest-focused mindset
- Ability to carry trays and lift up to 30 lbs as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
