With Honor Action is seeking a highly motivated and creative Digital Engagement Intern. With Honor Action is a cross-partisan non-profit whose mission is to strengthen democracy by fighting polarization in the U.S. Congress with principled veteran leadership. With Honor Action works alongside the bipartisan For Country Caucus in the U.S. House and with a group of bipartisan veteran Senators who are committed to the With Honor pledge. Role Objectives

The Digital Engagement Intern will play a central role in shaping how audiences engage with With Honor Action by driving:

  • Increased brand awareness and recognition of With Honor’s mission
  • Growth of social media audiences across priority platforms
  • Stronger, more accessible storytelling around veteran leadership and bipartisan impact
  • Higher engagement with content highlighting legislative wins, policy priorities, and national service efforts
  • Greater website traffic and supporter actions driven through social media and digital content
  • Improved digital performance through analytics, experimentation, and optimization
  • Strong community engagement aligned with With Honor’s cross-partisan values


Responsibilities

  • Assist in growing With Honor’s presence across all major social media platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging channels)
  • Execute a comprehensive content strategy and monthly editorial calendar aligned with organizational priorities and campaigns
  • Create original, high-quality multimedia content—including videos, and copy—that reflects With Honor’s brand voice, values, and mission
  • Collaborate with the communications and policy teams to highlight legislative wins, veteran stories, events, and bipartisan achievements
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics to inform strategy and drive audience growth and engagement
  • Maintain brand integrity across all digital platforms; ensure consistency in visual identity and tone
  • Manage photo, video, and design assets, coordinating with external vendors or creative partners as needed
  • Respond to audience engagement in real time, fostering a positive, respectful community aligned with With Honor’s cross-partisan mission
  • Support updates to website and newsletter content in coordination with communications staff
  • Assist with media and event promotion, including real-time digital coverage of key organizational and congressional events

Content Creation & Scheduling

  • Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, iMovie
  • HubSpot, Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, Loomly, Sprinklr

AI & Emerging Digital Tools

  • ChatGPT and other GPT-based content tools
  • Adobe Firefly, Midjourney for AI-assisted image creation
  • Descript, RunwayML, OpusClip for AI-powered video editing and clipping
  • Notion AI, Jasper for content ideation and campaign development
  • ElevenLabs for AI voice capabilities

Analytics, Web, & Project Management

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Looker Studio, Tableau
  • WordPress, MailChimp, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite
  • Airtable, Asana, Monday.com for content operations

Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience in social media management, content creation, or digital communications—ideally in a nonprofit, political, public affairs, or advocacy context
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media and content strategies
  • Proficiency with content creation tools, digital marketing platforms, and analytics dashboards
  • Experience managing social media for advocacy, campaigns, public policy, or issue-based organizations preferred
  • Experience in communications on a political campaign or on Capitol Hill is preferred
  • Background in journalism, editorial work, or newsroom-style content production is a strong plus, especially experience translating complex policy issues into accessible storytelling


Terms

  • 3 month starting agreement with opportunity to renew
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • $30-$35 hourly rate of pay
