Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanic specializing in Class 8 Semi Trucks and Trailers, based in Eau Claire, WI. The Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing semi-trucks and trailers to ensure optimal functionality and safety. Daily tasks include performing routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, inspecting equipment, and completing necessary repairs to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities• Perform preventative maintenance on Class 8 tractors and trailers
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and air brake systems
• Handle DOT inspections and compliance repairs
• Troubleshoot engine, suspension, and trailer systems
• Maintain accurate service records
• Support emergency or priority repairs as needed
Qualifications• Experience working on semi trucks and trailers
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
• Ability to diagnose issues independently
• CDL (preferred but not required)
• Strong safety mindset
