Role: Production Support Engineer – BlackRock Aladdin

Title: AVP/VP

Location: NYC, NY/Boston (Day 1 Onsite/Hybrid) – Fulltime

Mode of Work: 3 days/week onsite required

Required Experience: 5 years

We are seeking a highly motivated Production Support Engineer with hands-on experience supporting the BlackRock Aladdin platform. The ideal candidate should have experience working closely with trade desks, supporting production environments, coordinating with BlackRock support teams, and managing system integrations. Strong SQL skills are mandatory, along with excellent analytical and communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day production support for the BlackRock Aladdin platform.
• Support front-office users, including Trade Desk, Portfolio Managers, and Operations teams.
• Monitor application health and ensure timely resolution of production incidents.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for production issues and implement preventive measures.
• Coordinate with BlackRock Support for issue resolution, product defects, and platform upgrades.
• Support and troubleshoot inbound and outbound integrations with Aladdin and downstream systems.
• Analyze application logs, SQL queries, and data issues to resolve production problems.
• Manage incident, problem, and change requests in accordance with ITIL processes.
• Support deployment activities, release validations, and post-production verification.
• Work with development and infrastructure teams to resolve application and integration issues.
• Create and maintain support documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
• Participate in on-call support and provide support during critical business hours when required.

Must Have Skills

• Hands-on experience supporting the BlackRock Aladdin platform.
• Experience supporting Trade Desk or Front Office applications.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis, troubleshooting, and issue investigation.
• Experience coordinating with BlackRock Support teams.
• Production/Application Support experience in investment banking or asset management.
• Experience supporting system integrations (APIs, file-based interfaces, messaging, etc.).
• Good understanding of incident management, problem management, and change management.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have Skills

• Experience with scripting using Python, Shell, or PowerShell for automation.
• Understanding of FIX messaging or middleware technologies.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is an advantage.
