Role: MLFlow Databricks Engineers

Title: AVP/VP

Location: NYC, NY(Day 1 Onsite/Hybrid) – Fulltime

Mode of Work: 3 days/week onsite required

About the Role

We are looking for experienced MLFlow Databricks Engineers who can design and implement scalable, production‑grade MLOps frameworks on the Databricks Lakehouse platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in MLFlow, Databricks technologies, and strong Python engineering skills to build reliable, automated, and cost‑optimized ML pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a robust MLFlow‑based Model Lifecycle Framework covering experiment tracking, model registry, deployment, and monitoring.
• Build and optimize Lakehouse pipelines for data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, and batch/real‑time inference.
• Implement Unity Catalog for secure access control, governance, and end‑to‑end data/model lineage.
• Optimize compute workloads for performance and cost efficiency across Databricks clusters and jobs.
• Integrate MLFlow with CI/CD pipelines, microservices, and downstream applications.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Data Science, and Platform teams to standardize MLOps best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, improve reliability, and ensure high‑availability ML systems.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, documentation, and continuous improvement of the ML platform.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–12 years of experience in MLOps, Data Engineering, or ML Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with MLFlow (on‑prem and cloud deployments).
• Deep expertise in the Databricks tech stack, including:
• Mosaic AI
• Unity Catalog
• Lakeflow
• Delta Lake
• Strong Python engineering skills, including:
• Async programming
• API development
• Microservices architecture
• Experience building scalable ML pipelines in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Airflow, Databricks Jobs), and monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with feature stores, model monitoring, and automated retraining workflows.
• Exposure to distributed computing frameworks (Spark, Ray).
• Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform) and cloud networking concepts.
• Prior experience working in financial services, trading, or enterprise‑scale environments.
