Wage: $17.00 per hour

Position Summary: Assist in overall daily operations of the golf course.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Wisp Resort is a four-season ski, golf and recreational destination resort. Because of the nature of the resort business, employees may be asked to perform other duties outside of the job description. Also, hours of operation are 24/7 including weekends and holidays.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities: Level 1 – Cart Attendant – NE01
• Entry level, little direct experience.
• Greets and transports golfers via golf cart at the beginning and at the end of rounds of play.
• Maintains the golf cart fleet by washing, filling up with gas and parking carts neatly in the staging area.
• Keep golf cart area neat and clean, and assist Pro Shop attendants with all tasks necessary to run the golf operation as smoothly as possible.
• Pick and clean the driving range and the range golf balls.
• Maintains and exhibits knowledge of proper golf course etiquette.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities: Level 2 – Starter/Ranger – NE02
• 1-2 years’ experience, still developing knowledge/skills, exhibits some core competencies.
• Greets golfers at the first tee and explains the golf course and the rules.
• After starting golfers, rides the golf course monitoring the pace of play and assists golfers with any needs.
• Manages the pace of play and encourages proper golf etiquette.
• Maintains and exhibits a comprehensive knowledge of the game of golf.
• Exhibits the ability to be well mannered, present a clean and professional appearance and to be guest oriented.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities: Level 3 – Shop Attendant – NE03
• 2-4 years’ experience, increased accountability (team/crew), possesses required knowledge/skills.
• Assists in training and supervision of other Golf Shop Attendants as needed.
• Exhibits working knowledge of how the game of golf works, and the ability to use office equipment like cash registers, telephones, computers, printers and fax machines.
• Oversees the entire golf operation for the day that he/she is on duty, is well-mannered with a clean professional appearance and guest service oriented.
• Manages the tee sheet, and assists guests with questions and concerns.
• Periodically checks in with the Golf Cart Attendants and the Starters/Rangers to ensure that the operation is running smoothly.
• Keeps the Golf Shop merchandise in order and the overall shop area neat and clean.
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent, unless company sees capability without minimum education requirement
• Previous golf course experience helpful but not required
• Must be at least 21 years of age to work behind the counter.
Language Skills:
• Basic English
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Mathematical Skills:
• Basic math
