Equipment & Facilities Technician

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Equipment & Facilities Technician to support the maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This hands-on role is critical to ensuring production uptime, facility performance, employee safety, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime
• Support installation, startup, relocation, and commissioning of production equipment
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment histories, and repair documentation

Facilities & Utilities Support:

• Maintain HVAC, compressed air, electrical, plumbing, and facility utility systems
• Monitor facility equipment for safe and efficient operation
• Assist with facility improvement, expansion, and maintenance projects
• Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers when needed
• Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs

Safety & Continuous Improvement:

• Follow OSHA, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and company safety procedures
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives
• Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement programs
• Assist with environmental and sustainability initiatives

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or manufacturing maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical documents
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and safety procedures
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift and carry tools, equipment, and components as needed
• Ability to work around varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial equipment
• Ability to wear required PPE and safely work at elevated heights when authorized
