Hiring: SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) | Dallas, TX/ Tampa FL / Austin, TX / Sunnyvale, CA | Hybrid

We're looking for an experienced SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with strong expertise in Python, Pytest, SQL, data validation, and ETL testing to join a high-performing Data Services team.

Location: Dallas, TX, Tampa, FL, Austin, TX, Sunnyvale, CA (3 Days Onsite / Hybrid)

Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of Extension)

Work Authorization: USC and GC Only

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

• Design and develop a scalable Python-based test automation framework using Pytest for validating data pipelines and reports

• Collaborate with data engineers, product owners, and QA teams to define comprehensive test strategies and ensure end-to-end coverage

• Build and maintain test datasets tailored to product-specific requirements for functional and automated testing

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for data ingestion, transformation, and output validation

• Perform in-depth data analysis and validation using SQL across multiple data sources

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and early defect detection

• Analyze test execution results, identify root causes, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues

• Ensure the quality, reliability, and accuracy of complex data products and ETL workflows

• Support data governance, data quality, and metadata management initiatives

• Contribute to testing best practices, framework enhancements, and quality engineering standards

Mandatory Skills:

• 5 years of Software Testing experience

• 4 years of hands-on Python development experience

• Strong expertise in Pytest framework for test automation

• Strong SQL skills for data validation, analysis, and troubleshooting

• Experience testing data pipelines, ETL processes, and large datasets

• Experience with version control systems and CI/CD tools

• Knowledge of Snowflake and AWS cloud platforms

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

What We’re Looking For:

A highly skilled SDET with a strong background in Python-based test automation, data validation, and ETL testing. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building scalable testing frameworks, validating complex data pipelines, and ensuring high-quality data products through automation and continuous testing practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with large-scale data platforms and data engineering teams

• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and metadata management tools

• Experience implementing automated testing strategies for cloud-based data environments

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

• Experience working with enterprise-scale data and analytics platforms

Additional Details:

• Candidate must be willing to work onsite 3 days per week

• Work location must be either Dallas, TX or Tampa, FL
