Hiring: Mainframe Technology Lead (COBOL)
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Technology Lead to join a high-impact, long-term engagement. If you have deep expertise in COBOL and legacy mainframe systems and enjoy leading technical delivery across the SDLC, this opportunity is for you.
Location: Omaha, NE (100% On-site – No Remote)
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)
Work Authorization: USC & GC candidates ONLY (Strict requirement)
Job Summary
As a Technology Lead, you will play a critical role across the full Software Development Lifecycle—owning design artifacts, driving development, reviewing code, and supporting successful go-live. This role demands strong hands-on technical expertise combined with leadership in legacy mainframe environments.
Must-Have (Non-Negotiable) Skills
- 8–10 years of hands-on mainframe experience
- COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, REXX
- Strong experience translating functional & non-functional requirements into technical solutions
- Experience with Micro Focus COBOL
- Solid background in legacy application development & support
Important Notes
- On-site presence in Omaha, NE is mandatory
- Only USC and GC profiles will be considered
- Strong client-facing and documentation skills expected
