Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service and guiding them through appointment processes
- Manage patient scheduling using electronic health records (EHR) and patient management software to optimize clinic flow
- Verify insurance information, process billing, and assist with health insurance inquiries to ensure accurate financial transactions
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with privacy laws and health regulation policies
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as data entry, document preparation, and correspondence via phone and email
- Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to facilitate timely care delivery
- Support staff with electronic health records (EHR) management, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
Skills
- Proven experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting with strong knowledge of medical terminology and health regulation policies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and communication purposes
- Experience with patient management software and electronic health records (EHR/EHR) systems such as EMR/EHR platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in person
- Strong understanding of health insurance processes, billing procedures, and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Ability to type quickly and accurately while managing multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of medical administrative support functions including appointment scheduling, data entry, and document handling
