Hours: Full Time – Department Hours 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday, Occasional Evenings and Weekends.
Reports To: General Manager, Wisconsin Mortgage Corporation
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of Mortgage Loan Processors to efficiently meet published turn-times of residential mortgage loans.
- Main point of contact and for pipeline management and assist with overall mortgage loan pipeline.
- Train, mentor and assist processing team.
- Create and update procedures with other departments and discuss with General Manager.
- Manage the pipeline of assigned Mortgage Loan Officers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Work directly with borrowers to answer questions, understand their needs and help guide them through the mortgage loan process.
- Coordinate with the Loan Officer and Borrower to collect and submit required documents such as income, assets, liabilities, employment and other supporting documentation.
- Verify information contained in the mortgage application to ensure its completeness and adherence to regulatory, corporate and investor requirements.
- Input loan file documentation accurately into loan origination system.
- Submit complete loan files to Underwriting and work with Underwriting to resolve any Underwriting conditions.
- Keep Mortgage Loan Officers up to date on the status of their applications in process.
- Maintain Regulation B compliance including completion and mailing Notice of Incomplete letters to borrowers.
- Successfully complete annual regulatory compliance training.
- Assist with department training.
- Assist with any additional projects, tasks or additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- At least 10 years’ experience in secondary market residential mortgage loan processing.
- High school degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a customer service role, ideally in a mortgage lending environment
- Exceptional time-management skills and ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Experience with current mortgage origination regulations, including TRID requirements.
- A strong knowledge of various residential mortgage loans such and FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and WHEDA.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; Fluent Spanish is a plus.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
