Job Summary:
WMC is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to aid in raising awareness about the organization, its mission, and its programming at the direction of the Associate Director of Marketing. The Marketing Coordinator will develop external marketing materials and distribute digital content according to an established communications calendar, engaging targeted audiences primarily through Constant Contact and the organization’s Association Management Software (AMS). Content topics may include news, upcoming events, training opportunities, and other timely updates as required.
Essential Duties:
- Follow an email marketing calendar for all WMC departments to ensure on-time delivery of notifications to targeted contact lists for news, events, and other information
- Manage the AMS for marketing purposes to ensure all campaigns are targeted to the appropriate audience and work with the membership team to ensure profiles are up to date
- Manage assembly of and dictate content for WMC’s Morning Digest newsletter on a daily basis
- Develop marketing emails via Constant Contact and/or the AMS
- Create short-form video content for social media on a regular basis to promote organizational news and programs and to recap events
- In collaboration with the Associate Director of Marketing, regularly communicate with all other WMC, Inc. departments on marketing campaign status and needs
- Assist in the coordination and execution of various WMC awards programs
- Perform other projects as assigned
Skills and Specifications:
- Experience with email marketing strategies
- Experience managing and analyzing marketing contact data
- Proficiency with Constant Contact or Mailchimp and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, and Excel
- Basic experience developing short-form video content for LinkedIn or similar platforms
- Copywriting experience is a plus
- Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines when required
- Strong project management skills
- Solid understanding of marketing principles and branding standards
- Good team player who strives to meet or exceed team goals
- Ability to make informed decisions and exercise good judgment
- Be self-motivated, timely, energetic, and creative
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Education and Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in business, marketing, and/or communications from an accredited institution
- 1-2 years of professional experience in marketing or a related field
