Position Overview
Wisconsin Audio Video is seeking full-time, on-site Apprentice Audio Visual Installers. This role is ideal for individuals interested in building a long-term career in the audiovisual integration industry.
The Apprentice Audio Visual Installer will assist in the installation, configuration, and testing of commercial-grade audio, video, and sensory media systems. Responsibilities include installing AV equipment, running and terminating low-voltage cabling, mounting displays and associated hardware, troubleshooting system issues, and following system design documentation. The role also involves working closely with project managers and engineers to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Additional responsibilities may include providing basic system orientation to clients and maintaining clean, professional job sites.
Qualifications
Apprentice Candidates:
Candidates should demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn the AV trade. A basic understanding of hand tools, construction practices, or low-voltage systems is preferred. The ability to follow direction, work collaboratively as part of a team, and develop technical skills over time is essential. Candidates must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, working on ladders and lifts, and must maintain a clean driving record.
All Candidates:
Candidates must exhibit strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a consistent work ethic. The ability to work independently, remain productive, and communicate professionally with team members and clients is required. Applicants must be comfortable working on-site and safely operating hand and power tools. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional technical training or AV-related certifications are considered a plus.
