Wisconsin Audio Video is part of the Commercial Audio Video Group, an established professional Audio/Visual Integrator that specializes in design and installation of state-of-the-art Integrated Audio/Visual Systems for Business and is a Mood Affiliate providing music, messaging and digital signage. We have offices in Des Moines, IA, McFarland, WI, and Cheyenne, WY.
Position Description:
We’re looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our accounting team in the McFarland, WI office providing accounting services company wide. This position requires daily work in office and is not open to remote workers. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with at least 5-10 years in accounting with experience in multiple areas including AR, AP, PR and general accounting. As a small accounting team in a growing company, we are looking for someone to complete daily tasks in multiple areas and provide assistance to the Accounting Manager. If you’ve been in accounting for a while, have worn many hats and are looking for an opportunity that will grow into a leadership position, we’re interested in finding out more about you! This is a new position where the right candidate will have a hand in developing the role.

- Experience working in multi-state, branch and company accounting.

- Experience with recurring monthly, service, and project billing including pay apps.
- Understanding of accounting principles with a working knowledge of GAAP.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Excel, Teams, Word, and Outlook required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable communicating via Teams/Zoom video.
- Experience with Q360 a plus.
- Experience with Oracle a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred, will consider candidates with considerable experience in lieu of degree.
Duties may include (but not limited to)
AR
· Daily pick-up of PO box.
· Daily cash receipts deposits (check scanning) and payment application.
· Processing and applying payments for Credit Card and ACH transactions.
- Ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for service billing, and monthly recurring billing.
- Preparing monthly spread sheets for large recurring billing customers.
- Maintaining customer records and service contracts for accurate billing.
- Collections: sending reminders for overdue payments and communicating with customers regarding outstanding balances. Follow up for unresolved issues.
- Customer account reconciliation: resolve discrepancies or variances found and investigate and resolve any customer enquiries regarding their account.
AP
· Credit card reconciliation and monitoring usage.
· Coding and entering invoices.
· Matching PO’s to packing slips and vendor invoices.
· 1099 reporting and vendor compliance.
PR
· Follow up on time sheet entries to ensure completeness and accuracy.
· Keeping track of reimbursements.
· Preparing biweekly upload for payroll.
General
· Journal entries.
· Multi state sales tax reporting and filing.
· Bank reconciliation.
· Account reconciliation.
· Support Month and Year end closing including reporting, journal entries and reconciliation.
· Assist with financial reporting.
· Assist with audit preparation.
· Assist the Accounting Manager as needed.
· General office duties as needed, including filing, scanning documents.
· Basic customer service skills, including answering phones, directing customers to the correct person, and greeting walk in customers/delivery people.
