WAF – Crookston is looking for an experienced CNC Set Up Technician to join our Machine Shop team. This is a highly skilled, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for setting up CNC equipment, troubleshooting machining issues, and ensuring quality parts are produced safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do

Set up CNC mills and lathes for production runs.
Install tooling, fixtures, and program offsets.
Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
Perform first-piece inspections and make necessary adjustments.
Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to minimize downtime.
Work closely with operators to ensure quality and productivity goals are achieved.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Help drive continuous improvement throughout the Machine Shop.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements

Associate degree in machining or equivalent.
3 – 5 years machining and setup experience
Good communication skills

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:

Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
Regular lifting of materials or tooling, up to 50 lbs.
Use of hands and arms for fine motor tasks, such as installing tooling, aligning fixtures, and using precision instruments.
The required use of PPE includes safety glasses, steel toed boots, and hearing protection.

Salary : $25 - $34
