Job Summary: The Endoscopy Circulator Nurse is responsible for managing the care of patients undergoing endoscopy procedures. This includes coordinating patient care, preparing the procedure room, ensuring proper equipment is ready, managing specimens, monitoring the patient during the procedure, and maintaining a clean and safe environment in compliance with infection control guidelines.

Physical and Mental Demands:
- Lifting and Carrying:
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- For items exceeding 50 pounds, team lifting or mechanical assistance will be required in accordance with facility protocols.
- Standing and Mobility:
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, typically 8-10 hours per shift, with intermittent walking and bending.
- Perform frequent tasks that require reaching overhead, stooping, and crouching.
- Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- Above average ability to manage multiple asks simultaneously
- May have occasional exposure to biological hazards and must follow appropriate PPE protocols.
Job Qualifications:
- Current unencumbered Florida RN licensure
- Current BLS, or completed within 90 days of hire
- Current ACLS or completed within 90 days of hire
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a perioperative, endoscopy, or procedural setting preferred.
- Knowledge of sedation monitoring and care
- Knowledge of infection control and high-level disinfection procedures specific to endoscopy.
- Strong organizational skills, including proper specimen management techniques.
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
