What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secretary - Class C position at Winton Woods City Schools?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer phones with general knowledge of all activities of the building
- Provide passes and tardy notes to appropriate students
- Meet and greet all visitors, vendors, staff and students
- Receive and distribute all incoming mail
- Maintain volunteer data base
- Perform secretarial duties including typing and filing
- Other duties assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and perform arithmetic operations as needed
- Familiarity with district data information systems (e.g. DASL, etc.)
- Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work
- Ability to report work orally or in writing to supervisor as required
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must Have High School Diploma or GED
- Experience using District software applications is a plus
- Excellent attendance and strong work ethic is a must
- High level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information
