You will:
Craft and deliver timely, transparent, and compelling communications that inspire trust and reflect the values of our district.
Lead strategic outreach and engagement efforts that welcome families, elevate student and staff voices, connect community members and organizations and foster meaningful two-way communication.
Build lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local media, community organizations, business partners, alumni, and civic partners.
Develop and implement strategic communications, branding, marketing and crisis communications plans.
Amplify the achievements of our students and staff, while also guiding the district’s communications during times of celebration and challenge.
Help shape the narrative of Winton Woods by centering stories that reflect our students’ brilliance, our educators’ dedication, and our community’s strengths.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in public relations, preferably in a public school district or public agency setting.
Outstanding written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
Serves as liaison and point of contact for all media relations and information management.
Demonstrated success in managing a brand identity across platforms, executing social media strategy, and driving proactive media relations.
Proficiency with digital tools including content management systems, graphic design software (such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva), website management platforms, photo & video creation and editing, and email/text marketing tools.
Experience with community engagement, event planning, and stakeholder communications.
Strong background in crisis communication and serving as a district spokesperson as needed.
Working Conditions:
This is a 262-day administrative position with full fringe benefits.
Requires regular attendance at evening events and Board of Education meetings.
Must be available after hours for emergencies and urgent communications.
Serves as a key member of the district’s executive team, crisis response team, communications team and safe schools team.
Pay Range:
$82,000.00- $115,000.00 Commensurate with expereince
