Role Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist / Lathe Operator to join our team on a full-time basis. This on-site role is located in New London County, CT. In this position, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining
CNC turning centers (Y axis lathes, swiss, 9 axis mill-turn)
to manufacture high-quality custom fishing products. Daily tasks include interpreting technical drawings, programming machinery, performing regular maintenance, and ensuring precision in every piece. You will play a critical role in maintaining the quality standards that define Winthrop Tackle.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Machine Operation, Machining, and the use of CNC Machining technology
- Strong skills in Milling and operating various Machining Equipment
- Experience in Quality Control processes to ensure precision and adherence to specifications
- Familiarity with the setup and maintenance of Machinery
- Attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Previous experience in manufacturing or a similar role preferred
- GD&T familiarity
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or training in machining is advantageous
