Role: Billing and Collections Representative
Location: Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Area – On-Site ONLY

Position Summary:
Billing and Collections Specialists are required to contact clients and collect outstanding payments, including making multiple phone calls, emails, text messages, per day. The Billing & Collections team is responsible for other aspects of collections, such as resolving customer billing problems by updating customer contact information, and other issues as required. The Billing & Collection Specialists should exhibit professionalism, trustworthiness, and align with company core values at all times. As well as having excellent written and verbal communication - skills, as well as an ability to work independently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts
- Investigate historical data for each debt or bill
- Find and contact clients to ask about their overdue payments
- Expected to make 50 to 75 outbound collection calls per day.
- Take actions to encourage timely debt payments
- Process payments and refunds
- Resolve billing and customer issues
- Update account status records and collection efforts
- Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status
Qualifications:
- 1 Year of proven experience with (AR) Accounts Receivables, Billing and Collections.
- Customer service and account management experience
- Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques
- Familiarity with AIA billing and lien waivers
- Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
- Patience and ability to manage stress
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and drive to succeed
- Outstanding Attitude, Positive mindset, and willingness to smile in the face of adversity
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Associate or bachelor’s Degree – Accounting or Finance (Desired)
