What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bid Coordinator position at Winston Staffing Services?
We are looking for a motivated, high-energy Recent Graduate to join our team as a Bid & Proposals Coordinator. If you love diving into spreadsheets, finding patterns in data, and seeing how "the math" translates into real-world business wins, this is the role for you. You will be the backbone of our sales process, ensuring our bids are competitive, accurate, and delivered on time.
What You’ll Do (The Mission)
- Identify Growth Opportunities: Search for and develop new bid opportunities to expand our market reach.
- Master the Data: Use your Excel skills to perform product matches based on customer usage reports and conduct price-comparison/cost-savings analyses.
- Coordinate the Win: Work across departments (Sales, Supply Chain, Finance) to assemble winning bid packages and GPO (Group Purchasing Organization) analyses.
- Client Interaction: Contact prospective clients to clarify bid specifications and follow up on awards—building your professional network along the way.
- Project Management: Participate in special projects that improve our internal processes and bottom line.
What You Bring to the Table
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Communications, or a related field (Recent or upcoming graduates encouraged!).
- Excel : You should be comfortable with formulas, VLOOKUPs, and Pivot Tables. We don't just need someone who can enter data; we need someone who can interpret it.
- Business Literacy: Strong foundational math skills and a grasp of basic business principles (margins, markups, and cost-benefit analysis).
- Attention to Detail: You’re the person who catches the typo in the third paragraph and the formula error in cell Z100.
- Communication: Ability to translate complex data into clear written proposals and professional verbal updates.
Skills for Success
- Time Management: Ability to juggle multiple deadlines without breaking a sweat.
- Problem-Solving: A "can-do" attitude when faced with complex customer requests.
- Team Player: You enjoy collaborating with different personalities and levels of the organization.
- Discretion: You can be trusted with confidential and sensitive pricing information.
Salary : $21 - $22
