Winston Products is seeking a proactive and hands-on Safety Operations Coordinator to support warehouse safety, equipment coordination, training compliance, and operational organization. This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well organized warehouse environment while partnering closely with supervisors and operations leadership. The ideal candidate will be highly engaged on the warehouse floor, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing operational coordination with administrative tracking responsibilities.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Promote and reinforce a strong safety-first culture throughout warehouse operations
- Conduct regular safety walkthroughs and identify unsafe conditions or operational risks
- Support OSHA compliance efforts and maintain safety-related documentation
- Represent the company at required monthly Solon Chamber of Commerce Safety Council meetings and apply relevant safety learnings within warehouse operations
- Assist with incident reporting, corrective actions, and follow-up activities
- Coordinate warehouse equipment inspections, maintenance schedules, and repair tracking
- Monitor operational readiness and organization of warehouse equipment and shared tools
- Maintain employee training records, forklift certifications, and compliance tracking
- Coordinate onboarding, recurring training, and refresher certifications
- Support warehouse housekeeping, organization, and 5S initiatives
- Partner with warehouse leadership to improve operational consistency and accountability
- Assist with process improvements focused on safety, organization, and efficiency
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Safety, or related field preferred
- 2 years of warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or operations experience preferred
- Experience working within fast-paced warehouse environments
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and OSHA standards preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills
- Comfortable working directly on the warehouse floor and interacting with employees at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail
- Experience tracking records, inspections, certifications, or operational documentation preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and solution-focused approach
