Print Operator

Winpak Portion Packaging, Inc. is seeking a Print Operator to join our Production Department at our Sauk Village, IL facility. In this role, you will support manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and operational consistency by operating and troubleshooting printing equipment. As part of our production team, you will contribute to Winpak’s commitment to safe, high-quality food packaging solutions while working in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up printing lines, complete line clearances, and perform basic troubleshooting to keep equipment running smoothly.
• Review job specifications, materials, and labeling requirements to ensure accurate production.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain consistent, high-quality output.
• Inspect products according to work instructions and document production data, including material usage, downtime, and quality checks.
• Partner with feeders to resolve questions quickly and prevent delays or defects.
• Immediately report any safety, equipment, material, or quality concerns.
• Prioritize tasks to reduce downtime and support overall production efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow all safety, GMP, sanitation, and food-safety requirements.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support operations.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with dry offset printing, multicolor print registration, and machine changeovers.
• Basic troubleshooting and minor repair capabilities.
• Working knowledge of ink, plates, and quality inspection practices.
• Strong communication skills and basic math/computer proficiency.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for 8–12-hour shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in food packaging or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with GMP, sanitation standards, and food-safety practices.
• Experience troubleshooting production equipment.

Compensation range:

The compensation range provided is a general guideline only. Pay will be determined based on the candidate's experience and expertise and is subject to vary $26.24-$31.10.
