Winooski School District seeks a teacher to be our Long Term Substitute Technology Integration Specialist.
Qualification & Requirements:
Education and Experience:
VT Educator license with an Educational Technology Specialist certification required. Prior classroom teaching experience is also required.
Teachers certification required. An understanding of key learning theories and methods of instruction, and their relation to technology integration. Familiarity with methods for integrating technology into the curriculum.
Understanding of and ability to work with children with varying cognitive, physical and emotional needs. 0
As our Tech Integrationist, you will be responsible for planning and implementing computer literacy instruction for students in grades 3-5 once a week and a daily middle school lesson (grades 6-8).
Additionally, you will monitor and problem solve the safe usage of school devices by students, be a liaison between staff and IT, and model and support the integration of technology into curriculum and instruction across the district as needed.

Experience with best practices in effective technology teaching strategies for teaching software and hardware skills to both students and adults.
Up-to-date knowledge and skills with current computer operating systems and basic troubleshooting techniques with computer hardware and applications. Familiarity with the current Educational Technology standards. Specialized background and training in strategies for teacher professional development. Knowledge of a wide range of classroom practices and strategies and their relationship to student learning.Understanding of and ability to work with children with varying cognitive, physical and emotional needs. 0
