What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technology Integrationist - L.T. Temporary Substitute Teacher position at Winooski School District?
Winooski School District seeks a teacher to be our Long Term Substitute Technology Integration Specialist. As our Tech Integrationist, you will be responsible for planning and implementing computer literacy instruction for students in grades 3-5 once a week and a daily middle school lesson (grades 6-8). Additionally, you will monitor and problem solve the safe usage of school devices by students, be a liaison between staff and IT, and model and support the integration of technology into curriculum and instruction across the district as needed.
Qualification & Requirements:
Education and Experience: VT Educator license with an Educational Technology Specialist certification required. Prior classroom teaching experience is also required. Teachers certification required.
○ An understanding of key learning theories and methods of instruction, and their relation to technology integration.
○ Familiarity with methods for integrating technology into the curriculum.
○ Experience with best practices in effective technology teaching strategies for teaching software and hardware skills to both students and adults.
○ Up-to-date knowledge and skills with current computer operating systems and basic troubleshooting techniques with computer hardware and applications.
○ Familiarity with the current Educational Technology standards.
○ Specialized background and training in strategies for teacher professional development. ○ Knowledge of a wide range of classroom practices and strategies and their relationship to student learning.○ Understanding of and ability to work with children with varying cognitive, physical and emotional needs.
