What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rehab Technician position at WinnMed?
WinnMed is seeking a Rehab Technician to join our Rehab Services department. The Rehab Technician is responsible for assisting therapists in providing patient care. The Rehab Technician has basic patient care knowledge and utilizes this knowledge of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients under the direction and supervision of the therapist. Duties include: providing directed and onsite supervised patient care, evaluating quality and effectiveness of rehab services, assisting in assessment of patient response to intervention. Rehab Technicians are also responsible for greeting and escorting patients to treatment areas, assisting with clerical duties such as answering phones, scheduling patients; and preparing patient and/or equipment for treatment. This position is full time, 40 hours per week. Schedule includes Monday - Thursday, 9:00am - 5:30pm and Friday, 8:00 - 4:30pm. No weekends or holidays.
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- BLS (CPR) certification required; can certify upon hire
- Previous experience in direct patient care or as a certified nurse/rehabilitation aide preferred
