What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Technician - Emergency position at WinnMed?
WinnMed is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our Emergency Department. Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) provide support to a variety of patients who present to the Emergency Room and/or Urgent Care, including infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. PCTs provide basic patient care under direction of the RN. This p osition is 0.6 FTE, part time (24 hours per week). 12 hour shifts, 9:00a - 9:00p, and every 3rd weekend (Sat/Sun) 9:00a - 9:00p. Rotating holidays.
- Active CNA certification on the Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry OR EMT license
- American Heart Association BLS required; can certify at WinnMed
- Previous CNA or EMT experience beneficial
