Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with established policies and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor changes in legislation and regulations affecting the organization, ensuring timely updates to compliance programs.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related matters, fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence to financial concepts and principles such as COMAR regulations
- Prepare reports on compliance activities for senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
- Investigate compliance breaches or issues, recommending corrective actions as necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience in a compliance role or related field, with a strong understanding of corporate accounting practices.
- Familiarity with COMAR regulations, insurances and internal audit processes is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them effectively within the organization.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
